Ms. Morris is a 2015 recipient of a McKnight Fellowship in Dance and a 2021 recipient of a McKnight Fellowship in Choreography.

SOLO is a commissioning program of the McKnight Fellowships for Dancers. As part of the awarded fellowship, the McKnight Fellowship program commissions a choreographer of each dance fellow’s choosing to create a new work expressly for them. These new works are presented every other year on The Cowles Center season as part of an evening titled SOLO.

Ms. Britt was a featured dancer in Quiet Home, by Greggory Dolbashian of The DASH Ensemble; “S/he’s never been anything but herself;” by Morris; and a self-choreographed solo, Evident To The Eye, (excerpt in video). Ms. Britt’s performance in CUL.TI.VATE’s Winter Showcase was masterful in all three works.

Ms. Britt also served as Assistant to the Choreographer for my Morris’ commissioned work on the school’s advanced level dancers, as part of her mentorship award.

Sa’Nah is a talented dancer, with superb technical skill and artistry and a great teaching artist and choreographer. Ms. Britt brings an exceptional level of care and maturity in working with dancers in the creative process, while remaining gracious, humble, beautiful and kind.

The Winter Showcase also featured choreography by Sa’Nah, alongside Morris, for advanced level dancers.
