Thank you from AMVTP!

The ‘Yam, Potatoe an Fish!” (2018) watch party + LIVE interview with J. Bouey was extraordinary!

I give thanks to all the wonderful people who shared space with me! To AMVTP's extraordinary Administrative Assistant and Stage Manager, Sea Thomas, our amazing videographer, Tamara Ober and of course, the wonderful J. Bouey!

The credits were mistakenly left out during last night's #ypfwatchparty.
Of those credits, special thanks to Brian Van Tassel, whose name was mistakenly left out.

I want to make sure that people know this work was created through partnerships and could not have manifested otherwise!

Please allow me to share screenshots of the final credits!

THANK YOU to all those who believe in me, the arts and the practice of making dance!

Stay tuned: #blacklightresearch, a collaborative performance art project and research depository venturing into the nobility of black-ness; the divinity of the feminine expression and creative energy; and the harnessing of the sensual expression.

AMVTP presented "Yam, Potatoe an Fish!” to Minnesota audiences in October 2018, in a split bill with Choreographer-Dancer Jonathan van Arneman (Sint Maarten/Minnesota). "Yam, Potatoe an Fish!” was cited as Minneapolis Star Tribune’s Best of Dance that year and Alanna was recognized as City Pages’ Best Choreographer and Artist of the Year. The work reflects a deeply personal journey researching the notion of HOME and was to be presented back in her hometown of New York City in June 2020 by Gibney Dance Center…
